TYPES OF SKI JACKETS

The hardshell jacket is a real lightweight.
As mentioned above, the softshell jacket is the opposite. A softshell jacket is slightly thicker compared to a hardshell jacket, but both jackets are unlined. A softshell jacket is windproof, but usually not completely waterproof. It will hold back some precipitation, but if the rain showers continue to be heavy, not all of the water will be held back. The jacket does have the characteristic of being very breathable.
