3D secure code

3D Secure Code is a security system that was invented to decrease credit card fraud. For example: a lot of credit card fraud is being done with stolen credit cards or fished card details. 3D Secure Code is very common in Europe and causes to drastically reduce the number of frauds. More and more e-commerce platforms are adapting this method to their business and payment models so that customers can safely pay online. 3D Secure Code entitles you to have an extra safety layer to your credit card. You can create a personal code or password that only you know, so that you’re always sure you are the only one making payments with your credit card.

Credit card companies refer to this payment method in different ways:

  • Visa calls it Verified by Visa
  • MasterCard calls it SecureCode
  • American Express calls it Safekey

Most creditcard issuers are already using 3D Secure Code. If your payment on Skistore Swing is being refused for an unknown reason, you could check with your creditcard issuer if they also make usage of the 3D Secure Codes. If they do, you can ask them to activate this for your card when it’s not activated yet. If you are unable to pay for an order with your creditcard, it is still possible to pay using PayPal. More information about PayPal can be found on their website.

Please note: Skistore Swing will not charge you If your 3D Secure verification fails.
