What our customers say about us
Gloves & Mittens
At Skistore Swing you shop gloves and mittens in a variety of colors. We have both gloves and mittens in our range, where gloves have 'fingers' and mittens do not. With gloves all the fingers are in a separate space from each other so each finger has to provide its own warmth. With a mitt, all the fingers are in one space together, which means that mittens are generally warmer than gloves. When choosing your best gloves or mittens, you want to take into account certain characteristics. Features like waterproofness, warmth, breathability and dexterity are very important. Skistore Swing attaches great importance to these criteria, which is why you've come to the right place when it comes to choosing the right gloves or mittens.
BUYING GLOVES AND MITTENS
Buying gloves or mittens online for skiing can be a challenge. You want to know which glove or mitt offers your optimal protection against cold conditions. At Skistore Swing you can buy gloves and mittens from brands such as Peak Performance and Ortovox. These are brands where quality comes first. Skistore Swing has put together a range specially for you with only the finest and best gloves and mittens so that the choice you make is always the right one.
Gloves
A classic glove, where all fingers are separated, is the most common glove among skiers. This is probably due to the fact that a glove is more mobile and therefore more flexible than a wall where the fingers are not separated. With a glove, you can easily put on and take off your ski boots without having to take off the gloves and you can more easily hold your ski poles.
Mittens
With mittens, the thumbs are separated from the remaining fingers, though the remaining fingers are together in one space. As indicated, mittens are less mobile and flexible than gloves. Where with gloves you can easily put on and take off your ski boots, this is not the case with mittens. You will then have to take off your mittens every time. On the other hand, mittens retain heat better because all fingers are usually in one space. In general, snowboarders use mittens more. This is because snowboarders don't have to hold ski poles and, in general, snowboarders can easily loosen their bindings while wearing mittens. Mittens have fewer seams than gloves, which has the advantage that it will let less moisture in.
