Meer informatieWhat Is an Insulated Ski Jacket and What Are the Options?
An insulated ski jacket is essential for anyone seeking warmth and comfort while skiing or snowboarding. The insulation helps maintain your body temperature, even in the harshest conditions. There are different types of insulation, each with its own advantages. In this guide, we explain the differences so you can make the perfect choice.
Down Insulation: Lightweight and Extremely Warm
A jacket insulated with down is the ideal choice for those looking for maximum warmth without sacrificing comfort. Down provides excellent insulation and is very lightweight, making it perfect for cold, dry conditions. However, keep in mind that down performs less well in wet conditions unless the jacket has been specially treated to resist moisture.
Wool Insulation: Natural and Breathable
Jackets with wool insulation offer a natural alternative. Wool is not only warm but also breathable and retains heat even when damp. This option is ideal for those who prefer natural materials and comfort in varying weather conditions.
Synthetic Insulation: Versatile and Low-Maintenance
Synthetic insulation, such as PrimaLoft or Thinsulate, offers excellent warmth and performs well in wet conditions. This option is often slightly heavier than down but dries quickly and is easier to care for. It’s ideal for active winter sports enthusiasts who value versatility and affordability.
Why Choose an Insulated Ski Jacket?
-
Optimal Warmth: Protect yourself against extreme cold.
-
Comfort During Activity: Maintain your freedom of movement without sacrificing insulation.
-
Suitable for Various Weather Conditions: Whether you're skiing in powder snow or braving a cold wind, an insulated jacket adapts to your needs.
Which Insulation Suits You Best?
The right insulation depends on your personal preferences and the conditions in which you’ll wear the jacket. Looking for ultimate warmth and comfort? Go for down. Need a versatile, low-maintenance option? Consider synthetic materials. Or choose wool for a natural feel.

- Are you too late? Then your order will no longer be found in the portal. In that case, always contact us first so we can see what possibilities there are.
- After registering online, you then have 14 days to hand in your return at the post office. The sooner you register and send in your return, the sooner it will be processed and you will receive your money back.

- Returns are at your own risk and expense.
- If you return part of your order, we will only refund the amount of the returned items and not other costs such as shipping costs.

STEP BY STEP GUIDE:
1. Check your items
√ Has the return period of 14 days after receipt not expired
√ Is the yellow return label (in the case of outerwear and trousers) and all price tags still attached?
√ Is the article unworn and therefore not dirty, damaged or creased?
2. Submit your return online
Enter your own postcode and the full order number (including letters) in the portal to which you can start the return. You can choose to purchase a DPD shipping label via the portal. If you choose this option, print the shipping label. You can download this immediately and it will also be sent to you by e-mail (please check your e-mail address and any spam mail).
You can also choose another carrier outside the portal. We always advise you to send the parcel insured. The DPD label via the portal insures your parcel up to €500.
3. Pack your return
√ Fold the items neatly and close all zips and buttons. Because of the technical materials it is important not to cause serious creases and wrinkles, as these can damage the product.
Then pack the items back in their original packaging and put them in the shipping bag or box. Another bag or box is also fine, as long as it is sturdy so that it arrives undamaged
√ If you have items from several orders that you wish to return, you may simply return them in 1 parcel
√ Put the enclosed packing slip/order confirmation (or a copy) in the parcel
√ Stick the DPD shipping label on the parcel.
If you have chosen to send via another carrier, please write the return address on the parcel:

- 90 l that opens suitcase-style, side and top
- Lockable YKK reversed coil zip on main zip
- Mesh divider and compression straps inside
- 3.99 kg empty eats into a 23 kg hold limit
- Two wheels: towed at an angle, not pushed
- 74 cm body is too short for skis or a board
The Peak Performance Vertical Trolley 90L is a 90-litre two-wheel travel bag that opens suitcase-style from the side as well as from the top, so you pack it flat instead of digging down into a tube. It measures 74 x 42 x 28 cm, weighs 3.99 kg empty and rolls on two inline rubber wheels behind an extendable trolley handle. A see-through mesh divider, zipped mesh pockets and internal compression straps keep a week of kit in order.
Who is the Vertical Trolley 90L for?
This is the bag for a traveller who wants one large rolling case for a mountain or city trip of a week or more, checked in at the airport or rolled between car and accommodation. It is not built to be carried on your back: the Peak Performance Vertical Trolley 90L has grab handles on the top and the side only. And it is not a ski bag - at 74 cm long it takes no skis, poles or snowboard.
How much does the Vertical Trolley 90L hold?
Volume is 90 litres in a 74 x 42 x 28 cm body, which covers the full soft-goods side of a ski holiday: shell jacket, pants, midlayers, base layers, boots and a helmet. The main compartment opens right out for flat packing, and the separate zippered top compartment on the outside takes the items you want at hand. A lockable YKK reversed coil zip closes the main compartment for the hold.
Which size should you choose?
The Peak Performance Vertical Trolley 90L comes in one size, OSFA, in black. Check two numbers before you order: the external dimensions of 74 x 42 x 28 cm against your airline's checked-baggage rules, and the empty weight of 3.99 kg against your allowance - on a 23 kg ticket that is roughly a sixth of it gone before you pack anything. If you prefer to push a bag rather than tow it, choose a four-wheel case instead.
How is the Peak Performance Vertical Trolley 90L built?
The shell combines tarpaulin and ballistic nylon, stated in the composition as 100% polyamide and 100% polyester, over a 100% recycled polyester lining. Access runs two ways: a top zipper for quick reach, and a side zipper that lets the main compartment fold fully open like a suitcase. The main compartment closes with a YKK reversed coil zip and has a lock point. Two inline rubber wheels and an extendable trolley handle carry the weight on the move, while handles on the top and the side are there for lifting the 90-litre bag onto a belt, into a boot or up a stairwell.
Does the Vertical Trolley 90L work for a ski trip?
For the clothing and soft gear side of a ski week, yes. Ninety litres and external dimensions of 74 x 42 x 28 cm swallow outerwear, midlayers, boots and a helmet, and the interior organizer with zipped mesh pockets plus the see-through mesh divider lets you keep damp kit away from clean clothes without unpacking everything to find it. Compression straps hold the stack down so the load does not shift when the bag is stood on end. Skis, poles and a snowboard need their own bag: the Peak Performance Vertical Trolley 90L is 74 cm long and has no ski or board compartment. Because it runs on two wheels, it is tilted and towed rather than pushed, so gravel, cobbles and deep snow ask more of your arm than a four-wheel case does.
What is the Vertical Trolley 90L made of, and how do you clean it?
Shell: 100% polyamide and 100% polyester in a tarpaulin and ballistic nylon construction, the kind of heavy, tightly woven fabric used where luggage gets dragged and stacked. Lining: 100% polyester, recycled. The Peak Performance Vertical Trolley 90L is not a garment and should not go in a machine: do not wash it, and clean the shell with a damp cloth instead. Keep it away from bleach, the tumble dryer, the iron, dry cleaning and professional wet cleaning. After a wet transfer, let it line dry in the shade with the main compartment open rather than drying it in direct sun or on a radiator.
What is the recycled content in this travel bag?
The lining of the Peak Performance Vertical Trolley 90L is 100% recycled polyester. That sits with the rest of the construction logic: a wipe-clean tarpaulin and ballistic nylon exterior, metal-free lock point on a YKK zip and a repairable, single-piece carry system are what keep a travel bag out of the bin for more than a few seasons.
