What Is an Insulated Ski Jacket and What Are the Options?
An insulated ski jacket is essential for anyone seeking warmth and comfort while skiing or snowboarding. The insulation helps maintain your body temperature, even in the harshest conditions. There are different types of insulation, each with its own advantages. In this guide, we explain the differences so you can make the perfect choice.

Down Insulation: Lightweight and Extremely Warm
A jacket insulated with down is the ideal choice for those looking for maximum warmth without sacrificing comfort. Down provides excellent insulation and is very lightweight, making it perfect for cold, dry conditions. However, keep in mind that down performs less well in wet conditions unless the jacket has been specially treated to resist moisture.

Wool Insulation: Natural and Breathable
Jackets with wool insulation offer a natural alternative. Wool is not only warm but also breathable and retains heat even when damp. This option is ideal for those who prefer natural materials and comfort in varying weather conditions.

Synthetic Insulation: Versatile and Low-Maintenance
Synthetic insulation, such as PrimaLoft or Thinsulate, offers excellent warmth and performs well in wet conditions. This option is often slightly heavier than down but dries quickly and is easier to care for. It’s ideal for active winter sports enthusiasts who value versatility and affordability.

Why Choose an Insulated Ski Jacket?

  • Optimal Warmth: Protect yourself against extreme cold.

  • Comfort During Activity: Maintain your freedom of movement without sacrificing insulation.

  • Suitable for Various Weather Conditions: Whether you're skiing in powder snow or braving a cold wind, an insulated jacket adapts to your needs.

Which Insulation Suits You Best?
The right insulation depends on your personal preferences and the conditions in which you’ll wear the jacket. Looking for ultimate warmth and comfort? Go for down. Need a versatile, low-maintenance option? Consider synthetic materials. Or choose wool for a natural feel.

Our premium ski jackets combine functionality, style, and top quality, so you can fully enjoy your winter sports adventure. Explore our collection and find your perfect insulated ski jacket!

  • Are you too late? Then your order will no longer be found in the portal. In that case, always contact us first so we can see what possibilities there are.
  • After registering online, you then have 14 days to hand in your return at the post office. If you hand in the parcel after the 14 days, we will unfortunately no longer be able to process your return. The sooner you register and send in your return, the sooner it will be processed and you will receive your money back.

STEP BY STEP GUIDE:

1. Check your items

√ Has the return period of 14 days after receipt not expired

√ Is the yellow return label (in the case of outerwear and trousers) and all price tags still attached?

√ Is the article unworn and therefore not dirty, damaged or creased?

2. Submit your return online

Enter your own postcode and the full order number (including letters) in the portal to which you can start the return. You can choose to purchase a DPD shipping label via the portal. If you choose this option, print the shipping label. You can download this immediately and it will also be sent to you by e-mail (please check your e-mail address and any spam mail).

You can also choose another carrier outside the portal. We always advise you to send the parcel insured. The DPD label via the portal insures your parcel up to €500.

3. Pack your return

√ Fold the items neatly and close all zips and buttons. Because of the technical materials it is important not to cause serious creases and wrinkles, as these can damage the product.

Then pack the items back in their original packaging and put them in the shipping bag or box. Another bag or box is also fine, as long as it is sturdy so that it arrives undamaged

√ If you have items from several orders that you wish to return, you may simply return them in 1 parcel

√ Put the enclosed packing slip/order confirmation (or a copy) in the parcel

√ Stick the DPD shipping label on the parcel.

If you have chosen to send via another carrier, please write the return address on the parcel:

Product information
  • Mesh inner pant, no separate liner needed
  • Shell is 100% recycled polyester
  • Three pockets, incl. back patch pocket
  • Currently listed in size L only
  • One colourway: black with all-over print
  • Regular cut, not a performance swim shape

The Peak Performance Graphic Swim Shorts are men's mid-length swim shorts with a mesh inner pant, an elastic drawcord waistband and an all-over print. The shell is 100% recycled polyester, so they are made to get wet and dry out again, and the three pockets mean they still read as a normal short once you are off the sand. This is beach and poolside wear, not a mountain garment.

Who are the Graphic Swim Shorts for?

The Graphic Swim Shorts suit you if you want a plain, regular-fit swim short with a liner and pockets that also works as a casual summer short and packs easily for travel. They are not for skiing, snowboarding or any cold-weather mountain use: there is no insulation, no membrane and no wind protection in these shorts. They are also not a competitive swim cut - the regular leg and the mesh inner pant are built for general use rather than lap times.

What are the Peak Performance Graphic Swim Shorts made of?

The shell is 100% recycled polyester and the lining is 100% polyester, shaped as a mesh inner pant that sits inside the shorts so you do not need a separate liner. The waistband is elastic with a drawcord, so the fit is adjusted at the waist rather than by belt loops. Two hand pockets sit in the side seams and one patch pocket sits at the back. The shorts are made without intentionally added PFAS.

Which size should you choose?

The Peak Performance Graphic Swim Shorts have a regular fit: a straight mid-length leg that falls above the knee area without clinging, and an elastic waistband with a drawcord that takes up slack at the waist. Check the size chart on this page against your own waist measurement before you order. They are currently listed in size L only.

How are the Peak Performance Graphic Swim Shorts built?

Construction is deliberately simple. The Peak Performance Graphic Swim Shorts use a single woven shell of 100% recycled polyester with no membrane, no coating and no insulation layer - a polyester shell dries out rather than holding water, which is the whole point of a swim short. Inside sits a mesh inner pant in 100% polyester, stitched in so it stays in place while you swim and gives the shorts structure out of the water. The elastic waistband with its drawcord does the fitting work, and the print runs across the whole shell rather than sitting as a placed logo.

Are the Graphic Swim Shorts good for the beach, the pool and travel?

Yes - that is the intended use. In the water the mesh inner pant and the elastic drawcord waistband keep the Graphic Swim Shorts secure, and the mid-length leg gives freedom to swim. Out of the water the three pockets, including the back patch pocket, make them usable as a casual summer short for a walk to the beach bar or a day of travel. Where they stop is anything technical: these shorts offer no weather protection at all, so for wind, rain or cold you need a different garment, and for competitive swimming a narrower performance cut will suit you better. Nothing about this short is built for a mountain discipline.

What are the materials and how do you wash them?

The shell of the Peak Performance Graphic Swim Shorts is 100% recycled polyester and the lining is 100% polyester. Polyester is the reason the shorts handle chlorine, salt and sand routinely and recover their shape after being worn wet. Wash them at 40 degrees Celsius, inside out and with similar colours, and skip the fabric softener - softener leaves a film on synthetic fabrics and slows their ability to shed water. Do not tumble dry and do not bleach; line dry in the shade instead, which protects the all-over print. If you ever need to press them, use a cool iron. They are not suitable for dry cleaning or professional wet cleaning.

How sustainable are the Graphic Swim Shorts?

Two concrete points. The shell of the Peak Performance Graphic Swim Shorts is 100% recycled polyester rather than virgin fibre, and the shorts are made without intentionally added PFAS - which is straightforward here, because there is no water-repellent finish to replace in a garment designed to get wet. The simple build, with few seams and no hardware beyond the drawcord, is also the kind of construction that stays wearable for several summers.
