Is your purchase not quite what you expected or is the size incorrect? No problem, you can easily return your order to us. You may try on and view an item as you would in a shop, but there are some rules.

GOOD TO KNOW

  • You have 14 days from receipt of your order to register your return.
  • Are you too late? Then your order will no longer be found in the portal. In that case, always contact us first so we can see what possibilities there are.
  • After registering online, you then have 14 days to hand in your return at the post office. If you hand in the parcel after the 14 days, we will unfortunately no longer be able to process your return. The sooner you register and send in your return, the sooner it will be processed and you will receive your money back.
  • Almost all outerwear and trousers are delivered with a large yellow return label. Do not remove this until you decide to keep the item! Once this vignette has been removed, there is no way we can return the item.
  • Returns are at your own risk and expense.
  • If you return part of your order, we will only refund the amount of the returned items and not other costs such as shipping costs.
  • If you have received an incorrect or damaged item, please always contact us a.s.a.p. and include photos of the product and the labels so we can see which item/defect is concerned.

STEP BY STEP GUIDE:

1. Check your items

√ Has the return period of 14 days after receipt not expired

√ Is the yellow return label (in the case of outerwear and trousers) and all price tags still attached?

√ Is the article unworn and therefore not dirty, damaged or creased?

2. Submit your return online

Enter your own postcode and the full order number (including letters) in the portal to which you can start the return. You can choose to purchase a DPD shipping label via the portal. If you choose this option, print the shipping label. You can download this immediately and it will also be sent to you by e-mail (please check your e-mail address and any spam mail).

You can also choose another carrier outside the portal. We always advise you to send the parcel insured. The DPD label via the portal insures your parcel up to €500.

3. Pack your return

√ Fold the items neatly and close all zips and buttons. Because of the technical materials it is important not to cause serious creases and wrinkles, as these can damage the product.

Then pack the items back in their original packaging and put them in the shipping bag or box. Another bag or box is also fine, as long as it is sturdy so that it arrives undamaged

√ If you have items from several orders that you wish to return, you may simply return them in 1 parcel

√ Put the enclosed packing slip/order confirmation (or a copy) in the parcel

√ Stick the DPD shipping label on the parcel.

If you have chosen to send via another carrier, please write the return address on the parcel:

Skistore Swing

De Opslach 3

4. Shipping

Hand over your return at a DPD parcel point or a carrier of your choice.

Returning (part of) your order is at your own risk. Keep the proof of delivery until we have received and processed your package.

Please note! After registering your return online, you have 14 days to return your parcel to the postal service. If you return the parcel after these 14 days, we will unfortunately no longer be able to process your return.

5. Refund

You will receive confirmation by e-mail when your return has been received and processed.

This is usually within a few days after your order has been delivered to us. The money will then be refunded to the account you paid with within a week after confirmation (usually longer for credit card payments). If you have chosen to pay afterwards, this will be adjusted on your Klarna invoice.

Please note! If you return part of your order, we will only refund the amount of the returned items and not other costs such as shipping costs.

Product information
  • 110 g/m2 active insulation, 388 g in men's L
  • Air-permeable shell: stays on during the climb
  • Storm hood fits a freeride helmet, one-hand adjust
  • No membrane or DWR: wets out in rain or wet snow
  • Active insulation, too light for standing still
  • 20d / 44 g/m2 ripstop is light against abrasion

The Norrøna lyngen thermo100active Zip Hood is a men's synthetic insulated jacket built for ski touring and other mid- to high-intensity winter activity. It weighs 388 g in men's L and uses an air-permeable 20d recycled nylon ripstop face fabric at 44 g/m2, so it can stay on during the climb instead of being stuffed into the pack at every transition. Knitted insulation sits at 110 g/m2 through the body and sleeves and 95 g/m2 in the hood and side panels.

Who is the lyngen thermo100active Zip Hood for?

This is a jacket for a ski tourer who keeps moving and overheats in conventional insulation, and who wants one 388 g layer for both the skin track and the descent. It is also usable as an insulating layer under a shell in cold weather. It is not the right choice for static days in deep cold — lift-served resort laps, long belays, waiting around — where a thicker or down-filled jacket does the job better.

How warm and how breathable is the Norrøna lyngen thermo100active Zip Hood?

Two knitted synthetic insulations do the work: 110 g/m2 in the body and sleeves, 95 g/m2 in the hood and the sides of the body, both 100% recycled polyester. That is active insulation, so warmth is tuned to a body that is producing heat. The 20d ripstop shell is deliberately air-permeable to move moisture out, which takes the edge off wind chill but trades away absolute wind protection. There is no membrane and no waterproof rating, so rain and wet snow belong under a shell.

Which size should you choose?

The Norrøna lyngen thermo100active Zip Hood comes in M, L and XL. The back is cut longer than the front, the sleeves and elbows are articulated for reaching, the cuffs are stretch and the hem is elasticated. The storm hood is sized to go over a beanie and over a freeride helmet, with one-hand adjustment. Check your chest and sleeve measurements against the size chart on this page before ordering.

How is the Norrøna lyngen thermo100active Zip Hood built?

The Norrøna lyngen thermo100active Zip Hood is built around two knitted synthetic insulations rather than one uniform fill. The body and sleeves carry 110 g/m2, while the hood and the side panels of the body drop to 95 g/m2, keeping bulk down where arms swing and where a pack rides. Both are 100% recycled polyester, bluesign and GRS certified. Over them sits a 20d recycled nylon ripstop at 44 g/m2, also bluesign and GRS certified. That face fabric is chosen to let air pass through, which is what allows body moisture to escape while you climb. The complete jacket weighs 388 g in men's L.

Is the Norrøna lyngen thermo100active Zip Hood suitable for ski touring?

Ski touring is what this jacket was made for, and it belongs to Norrøna's lyngen line. On the way up, the air-permeable shell and the 110 g/m2 active insulation let you keep the jacket on through a wider output range than a sealed insulated jacket allows. On the descent, the storm hood goes over a freeride helmet with one-hand adjustment, the dropped back stays put when you are low on your skis, and two zipped hand-warming pockets plus one zipped chest pocket keep skins, gloves and a phone secure. Where it stops: sustained rain or wet snow, since there is no membrane and no stated water-repellent finish, and hard abrasion against rock, pack straps or ski edges, since a 20d ripstop at 44 g/m2 is a light fabric. No powder skirt, pass pocket or RECCO is fitted, so it is an insulating piece in a layering system rather than an outer ski jacket.

What is the Norrøna lyngen thermo100active Zip Hood made of and how do you wash it?

The face fabric is a 20d recycled nylon ripstop at 44 g/m2, and the two insulations are knitted 100% recycled polyester at 110 g/m2 and 95 g/m2. Nylon ripstop at this weight stays packable and light, and the ripstop grid limits a small tear from running. Wash it gently at 40 degrees Celsius with similar colours, with all zips closed. Skip bleach, fabric softener, ironing and dry cleaning; a light tumble dry is fine and helps loft the insulation back up.

How sustainable is the Norrøna lyngen thermo100active Zip Hood?

Every main component is recycled: the nylon face fabric and both polyester insulations are bluesign approved and certified to the Global Recycled Standard, and the jacket is also certified to OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100. It is made in Vietnam.
