Is your purchase not quite what you expected or is the size incorrect? No problem, you can easily return your order to us. You may try on and view an item as you would in a shop, but there are some rules.
GOOD TO KNOW
- You have 14 days from receipt of your order to register your return.
- Are you too late? Then your order will no longer be found in the portal. In that case, always contact us first so we can see what possibilities there are.
- After registering online, you then have 14 days to hand in your return at the post office. If you hand in the parcel after the 14 days, we will unfortunately no longer be able to process your return. The sooner you register and send in your return, the sooner it will be processed and you will receive your money back.
- Almost all outerwear and trousers are delivered with a large yellow return label. Do not remove this until you decide to keep the item! Once this vignette has been removed, there is no way we can return the item.
- Returns are at your own risk and expense.
- If you return part of your order, we will only refund the amount of the returned items and not other costs such as shipping costs.
- If you have received an incorrect or damaged item, please always contact us a.s.a.p. and include photos of the product and the labels so we can see which item/defect is concerned.

STEP BY STEP GUIDE:
1. Check your items
√ Has the return period of 14 days after receipt not expired
√ Is the yellow return label (in the case of outerwear and trousers) and all price tags still attached?
√ Is the article unworn and therefore not dirty, damaged or creased?
2. Submit your return online
Enter your own postcode and the full order number (including letters) in the portal to which you can start the return. You can choose to purchase a DPD shipping label via the portal. If you choose this option, print the shipping label. You can download this immediately and it will also be sent to you by e-mail (please check your e-mail address and any spam mail).
You can also choose another carrier outside the portal. We always advise you to send the parcel insured. The DPD label via the portal insures your parcel up to €500.
3. Pack your return
√ Fold the items neatly and close all zips and buttons. Because of the technical materials it is important not to cause serious creases and wrinkles, as these can damage the product.
Then pack the items back in their original packaging and put them in the shipping bag or box. Another bag or box is also fine, as long as it is sturdy so that it arrives undamaged
√ If you have items from several orders that you wish to return, you may simply return them in 1 parcel
√ Put the enclosed packing slip/order confirmation (or a copy) in the parcel
√ Stick the DPD shipping label on the parcel.
If you have chosen to send via another carrier, please write the return address on the parcel:
Skistore Swing
De Opslach 3
8448 GV Heerenveen
The Netherlands
4. Shipping
Hand over your return at a DPD parcel point or a carrier of your choice.
Returning (part of) your order is at your own risk. Keep the proof of delivery until we have received and processed your package.
Please note! After registering your return online, you have 14 days to return your parcel to the postal service. If you return the parcel after these 14 days, we will unfortunately no longer be able to process your return.
5. Refund
You will receive confirmation by e-mail when your return has been received and processed.
This is usually within a few days after your order has been delivered to us. The money will then be refunded to the account you paid with within a week after confirmation (usually longer for credit card payments). If you have chosen to pay afterwards, this will be adjusted on your Klarna invoice.
Please note! If you return part of your order, we will only refund the amount of the returned items and not other costs such as shipping costs.

- 3-layer HELLY TECH Professional, fully seam sealed
- RECCO reflector and helmet-compatible hood
- LIFE POCKET+ pocket to protect phone battery in cold
- No insulation: warmth depends on your layers
- Around 1,000 g: heavy for long uphill touring days
- No harness or climbing features; built for skiing
The Helly Hansen Sogn Tinden Shell Jacket is a men's 3-layer ski shell jacket for backcountry, off-piste and resort skiing. It is built with HELLY TECH Professional waterproof, breathable technology, fully sealed seams and YKK AquaGuard zippers, and it adds a RECCO reflector, a helmet-compatible hood and a LIFE POCKET+ phone pocket designed to help your phone battery last longer in the cold. It is an updated version of the Sogn Shell Jacket and a pure shell, with no insulation.
Who is the Sogn Tinden Shell Jacket for?
The Helly Hansen Sogn Tinden Shell Jacket is for skiers who want one weather-protective shell for freeriding, off-piste and resort days, plus ski touring and snowshoeing in snow, wind or rain. It suits skiers who control their warmth with their own base layer and midlayer. Choose a different jacket if you want one insulated jacket to wear over just a base layer, if low weight for fast-and-light touring is your priority, or if you need a jacket for technical climbing or alpine mountaineering.
How waterproof and how warm is the Sogn Tinden Shell Jacket?
The Helly Hansen Sogn Tinden Shell Jacket combines a 3-layer HELLY TECH Professional construction with a 100% polyamide shell, fully sealed seams, a DWR treatment and YKK AquaGuard zippers to keep out snow, wind and rain. Ventilation openings let you release heat when you work hard. The jacket has no insulation: it adds weather protection, not warmth, so on cold lift-served days you need a warm midlayer underneath.
Which size of the Sogn Tinden Shell Jacket should I choose?
Choose your size of the Helly Hansen Sogn Tinden Shell Jacket with the men's jacket size chart on this product page. The jacket is shaped for movement, with articulated sleeves, no shoulder seams and a dropped back hem. Because all warmth comes from your layers, keep the midlayer you plan to wear in mind when you compare measurements. Black is offered in S to 2XL; Elmwood and Ultra Violet in S to XL.
How is the Helly Hansen Sogn Tinden Shell Jacket constructed?
The Helly Hansen Sogn Tinden Shell Jacket is a 3-layer ski hardshell built on HELLY TECH Professional, Helly Hansen's waterproof, breathable technology. The outer fabric is 100% polyamide with a DWR treatment that makes water bead on the surface. Every seam is sealed, and the zippers are YKK AquaGuard, so the openings in the shell are protected as well as the fabric. A YKK 2-way front zipper can be opened from the top or the bottom. Ventilation openings add breathability on climbs and in milder weather. There is no insulation in this ski shell jacket, which makes it a layering piece: the same shell goes over a thin base layer on a mild day or over a warm midlayer on a cold one.
Is the Sogn Tinden Shell Jacket suitable for off-piste and ski touring?
Off-piste and freeride skiing is where the Helly Hansen Sogn Tinden Shell Jacket is most at home. It carries a RECCO reflector, and its helmet-compatible hood adjusts with a drawstring inside the hood and has a neon colour brim. A high protective collar with a soft fleece chin guard, adjustable elastic cuffs with thumbholes and an adjustable drawcord hem close the jacket against snow and wind. Ski touring is part of its use list, and the vents and 2-way zipper help on the way up. At around 1,000 g, however, it is heavy compared with dedicated lightweight touring shells, so for long uphill days or fast-and-light tours a lighter shell is the better tool. The features are ski-oriented and there are no harness or climbing features, so it is not intended for technical climbing or alpine mountaineering.
Which pockets does the Sogn Tinden Shell Jacket have?
The Helly Hansen Sogn Tinden Shell Jacket is organised for a day on skis. There is a ski pass pocket, a goggle pocket, chest and hand pockets with YKK zippers, an inner chest pocket and an inside stash pocket. The hand pockets have a brushed lining. Your phone goes in a zipped pocket with LIFE POCKET+ technology, designed to help the battery last longer in cold conditions. An internal hanging loop keeps the jacket tidy in a boot room or hut.
What is the Sogn Tinden Shell Jacket made of and how do I care for it?
The shell of the Helly Hansen Sogn Tinden Shell Jacket is 100% polyamide, and the main material is bluesign certified. Before washing, close all zippers and hook-and-loop fastenings, and wash dark colours separately. Do not soak the jacket and do not use fabric softener. Tumble dry the ski shell jacket to reactivate the water-repellent treatment, take it out of the dryer promptly, and do not iron over the print.
What sustainability credentials does the Sogn Tinden Shell Jacket have?
