Is your purchase not quite what you expected or is the size incorrect? No problem, you can easily return your order to us. You may try on and view an item as you would in a shop, but there are some rules.

GOOD TO KNOW

  • You have 14 days from receipt of your order to register your return.
  • Are you too late? Then your order will no longer be found in the portal. In that case, always contact us first so we can see what possibilities there are.
  • After registering online, you then have 14 days to hand in your return at the post office. If you hand in the parcel after the 14 days, we will unfortunately no longer be able to process your return. The sooner you register and send in your return, the sooner it will be processed and you will receive your money back.
  • Almost all outerwear and trousers are delivered with a large yellow return label. Do not remove this until you decide to keep the item! Once this vignette has been removed, there is no way we can return the item.
  • Returns are at your own risk and expense.
  • If you return part of your order, we will only refund the amount of the returned items and not other costs such as shipping costs.
  • If you have received an incorrect or damaged item, please always contact us a.s.a.p. and include photos of the product and the labels so we can see which item/defect is concerned.

STEP BY STEP GUIDE:

1. Check your items

√ Has the return period of 14 days after receipt not expired

√ Is the yellow return label (in the case of outerwear and trousers) and all price tags still attached?

√ Is the article unworn and therefore not dirty, damaged or creased?

2. Submit your return online

Enter your own postcode and the full order number (including letters) in the portal to which you can start the return. You can choose to purchase a DPD shipping label via the portal. If you choose this option, print the shipping label. You can download this immediately and it will also be sent to you by e-mail (please check your e-mail address and any spam mail).

You can also choose another carrier outside the portal. We always advise you to send the parcel insured. The DPD label via the portal insures your parcel up to €500.

3. Pack your return

√ Fold the items neatly and close all zips and buttons. Because of the technical materials it is important not to cause serious creases and wrinkles, as these can damage the product.

Then pack the items back in their original packaging and put them in the shipping bag or box. Another bag or box is also fine, as long as it is sturdy so that it arrives undamaged

√ If you have items from several orders that you wish to return, you may simply return them in 1 parcel

√ Put the enclosed packing slip/order confirmation (or a copy) in the parcel

√ Stick the DPD shipping label on the parcel.

If you have chosen to send via another carrier, please write the return address on the parcel:

4. Shipping

Hand over your return at a DPD parcel point or a carrier of your choice.

Returning (part of) your order is at your own risk. Keep the proof of delivery until we have received and processed your package.

Please note! After registering your return online, you have 14 days to return your parcel to the postal service. If you return the parcel after these 14 days, we will unfortunately no longer be able to process your return.

5. Refund

You will receive confirmation by e-mail when your return has been received and processed.

This is usually within a few days after your order has been delivered to us. The money will then be refunded to the account you paid with within a week after confirmation (usually longer for credit card payments). If you have chosen to pay afterwards, this will be adjusted on your Klarna invoice.

Please note! If you return part of your order, we will only refund the amount of the returned items and not other costs such as shipping costs.

The Helly Hansen Verglas Hooded Down Jacket 2.0 is a women's hooded down jacket with 700 fill power hydrophobic duck down. You can wear it on its own in cool conditions or as a warm midlayer under a shell jacket. What sets it apart is the treated down, which is designed to keep its warmth better in damp conditions, and a ripstop shell that packs into its own hand pocket.

Who is the Verglas Hooded Down Jacket 2.0 for?

This Helly Hansen down jacket suits women who want one packable insulation layer. Use it under a shell on cold ski days, at breaks and summits on ski tours, and for mountaineering, hiking, camping and everyday winter wear. It is not a standalone ski jacket for stormy days. It is also too warm for long, high-output climbs such as ski-touring ascents. It contains duck down and feather, so it does not suit you if you avoid animal-derived materials.

How warm and weather-resistant is the Verglas Hooded Down Jacket 2.0?

The Verglas Hooded Down Jacket 2.0 is insulated with 700 fill power Allied Feather & Down hydrophobic duck down (85% down, 15% feather), plus 80 g PrimaLoft synthetic insulation. The ripstop polyamide shell has a DWR treatment for mild weather and snowfall. There is no waterproof membrane. In sustained rain or wet, heavy snow you need a shell over it, because heavy soaking reduces the loft of any down.

Which size of the Verglas Hooded Down Jacket 2.0 should I choose?

The Verglas Hooded Down Jacket 2.0 is designed to be worn on its own or as a midlayer beneath a shell jacket. An elastic hood, elastic cuffs and an adjustable hem close it off at the face, wrists and waist. Compare your body measurements with the Helly Hansen women's size chart on this product page. If you plan to layer it, check that your shell jacket has room for an insulated layer underneath.

How is the Helly Hansen Verglas Hooded Down Jacket 2.0 built?

The Helly Hansen Verglas Hooded Down Jacket 2.0 combines down and synthetic insulation. The main fill is 700 fill power duck down from Allied Feather & Down. It has a ratio of 85% down to 15% feather and is certified to the Responsible Down Standard. The down is hydrophobic, which means it is treated to repel water and hold its warmth better in wet conditions than untreated down. The jacket also contains 80 g of PrimaLoft synthetic insulation in 100% polyester. The outer is a 100% polyamide ripstop face fabric with a Durable Water Repellency (DWR) treatment. The lining is 100% polyamide, with a second lining in 100% polyester. All zippers are YKK.

Can you use the Verglas Hooded Down Jacket 2.0 for skiing and ski touring?

On cold piste days, the Helly Hansen Verglas Hooded Down Jacket 2.0 works as an insulating midlayer under your shell jacket. The shell keeps out wind and wet snow, and the down provides the warmth. On ski tours and backcountry days, this down jacket is a stop layer. Pack it into its own hand pocket for the climb and put it on at breaks, summits and cold transitions. The same approach works for mountaineering, where you need a hooded insulation layer that takes up little space. Its limits are clear. Down runs too warm for sustained high-exertion ascents. As an outer layer it handles mild weather and snowfall, not stormy resort days or prolonged wet snow.

What pockets and adjustments does the Verglas Hooded Down Jacket 2.0 have?

The Verglas Hooded Down Jacket 2.0 has zippered hand pockets, a zippered inner chest pocket and pockets in the side seam. The elastic hood and elastic cuffs sit close without separate adjusters, and the adjustable hem lets you seal the jacket at the waist. The jacket carries a printed HH logo and comes in the colourways Bright Blue and Black.

What is the Verglas Hooded Down Jacket 2.0 made of, and how do you wash it?

The Helly Hansen Verglas Hooded Down Jacket 2.0 has a 100% polyamide shell and a 100% polyamide lining. The second lining is 100% polyester, and the insulation is 85% duck down, 15% duck feather plus 100% polyester synthetic fill. To wash it, close all zippers first and wash dark colours separately. Do not use fabric softener, and do not wring the jacket. Tumble dry it with dryer balls until it is completely dry. This step restores the loft of the down and reactivates the water-repellent treatment on the shell. The jacket contains non-textile parts of animal origin.

How sustainable is the Verglas Hooded Down Jacket 2.0?

The Helly Hansen Verglas Hooded Down Jacket 2.0 contains at least 50% material certified to the Recycled Claim Standard (RCS). The down is certified to the Responsible Down Standard (RDS). The jacket is a bluesign® product.

Down (700 fill)
Down (700 fill)
Down with a 700 fill power delivers a high warmth-to-weight ratio. Fill power measures how much air the down traps, and therefore how much warmth it holds for its weight. At 700 the insulation stays light and highly compressible, so the garment packs down small and still lofts back up. This grade suits ultralight jackets worn on cold, dry days and works well as an insulating layer under a shell.
