Is your purchase not quite what you expected or is the size incorrect? No problem, you can easily return your order to us. You may try on and view an item as you would in a shop, but there are some rules.

GOOD TO KNOW

  • You have 14 days from receipt of your order to register your return.
  • Are you too late? Then your order will no longer be found in the portal. In that case, always contact us first so we can see what possibilities there are.
  • After registering online, you then have 14 days to hand in your return at the post office. If you hand in the parcel after the 14 days, we will unfortunately no longer be able to process your return. The sooner you register and send in your return, the sooner it will be processed and you will receive your money back.
  • Almost all outerwear and trousers are delivered with a large yellow return label. Do not remove this until you decide to keep the item! Once this vignette has been removed, there is no way we can return the item.
  • Returns are at your own risk and expense.
  • If you return part of your order, we will only refund the amount of the returned items and not other costs such as shipping costs.
  • If you have received an incorrect or damaged item, please always contact us a.s.a.p. and include photos of the product and the labels so we can see which item/defect is concerned.

STEP BY STEP GUIDE:

1. Check your items

√ Has the return period of 14 days after receipt not expired

√ Is the yellow return label (in the case of outerwear and trousers) and all price tags still attached?

√ Is the article unworn and therefore not dirty, damaged or creased?

2. Submit your return online

Enter your own postcode and the full order number (including letters) in the portal to which you can start the return. You can choose to purchase a DPD shipping label via the portal. If you choose this option, print the shipping label. You can download this immediately and it will also be sent to you by e-mail (please check your e-mail address and any spam mail).

You can also choose another carrier outside the portal. We always advise you to send the parcel insured. The DPD label via the portal insures your parcel up to €500.

3. Pack your return

√ Fold the items neatly and close all zips and buttons. Because of the technical materials it is important not to cause serious creases and wrinkles, as these can damage the product.

Then pack the items back in their original packaging and put them in the shipping bag or box. Another bag or box is also fine, as long as it is sturdy so that it arrives undamaged

√ If you have items from several orders that you wish to return, you may simply return them in 1 parcel

√ Put the enclosed packing slip/order confirmation (or a copy) in the parcel

√ Stick the DPD shipping label on the parcel.

If you have chosen to send via another carrier, please write the return address on the parcel:

4. Shipping

Hand over your return at a DPD parcel point or a carrier of your choice.

Returning (part of) your order is at your own risk. Keep the proof of delivery until we have received and processed your package.

Please note! After registering your return online, you have 14 days to return your parcel to the postal service. If you return the parcel after these 14 days, we will unfortunately no longer be able to process your return.

5. Refund

You will receive confirmation by e-mail when your return has been received and processed.

This is usually within a few days after your order has been delivered to us. The money will then be refunded to the account you paid with within a week after confirmation (usually longer for credit card payments). If you have chosen to pay afterwards, this will be adjusted on your Klarna invoice.

Please note! If you return part of your order, we will only refund the amount of the returned items and not other costs such as shipping costs.

The Helly Hansen LIFALOFT™ Hooded Insulator is a lightweight women's insulated jacket with a hood. It is filled with LIFALOFT™ synthetic insulation and has a ripstop polyamide outer fabric with DWR treatment. Helly Hansen designed it for hiking, skiing and winter days with changing weather and fluctuating temperatures, and states that it keeps you warm even when wet.

Who is the Helly Hansen LIFALOFT™ Hooded Insulator for?

This women's insulated jacket suits women who want a light, warm layer for active days outdoors: a hike in cold weather, a dry day on the piste, or a winter outing where the temperature keeps changing. It is not the right choice if you are looking for a fully waterproof ski jacket or a hardshell. It is also not meant to be your only outer layer in sustained rain or wet snow, or a stand-alone piste or freeride jacket in snowfall or deep snow.

How warm and weather-resistant is the LIFALOFT™ Hooded Insulator?

The insulation is LIFALOFT™, a blend of 70% polypropylene and 30% polyester. Helly Hansen describes it as giving warmth without added bulk, and states that it stays warm even when wet. The Helly Hansen LIFALOFT™ Hooded Insulator has a listed weight of 305 g. The outer fabric is 100% polyamide with a DWR treatment, which makes it water-repellent, not waterproof.

Which size should I choose in the LIFALOFT™ Hooded Insulator?

Measure yourself and compare your measurements with the women's size chart on this product page before you order the Helly Hansen LIFALOFT™ Hooded Insulator. An adjustable bottom hem and an elastic hood let you close the jacket around you against wind and cold. Helly Hansen positions this insulated jacket as a versatile layer for fluctuating temperatures, so take into account what you plan to wear underneath when you choose your size.

How is the Helly Hansen LIFALOFT™ Hooded Insulator constructed?

The Helly Hansen LIFALOFT™ Hooded Insulator is built from three parts that work together. On the outside is a 100% polyamide fabric in ripstop with a Durable Water Repellency (DWR) treatment. In the middle is LIFALOFT™ insulation made of 70% polypropylene and 30% polyester. On the inside is a 100% polyamide lining. A full inner front placket runs along the front closure of this insulated jacket. The hood is elastic, so it sits close to the head without separate adjusters, and the bottom hem is adjustable. Helly Hansen states that the jacket was developed in partnership with outdoor and ski experts.

Can you ski in the Helly Hansen LIFALOFT™ Hooded Insulator?

Skiing is one of the uses Helly Hansen names for the LIFALOFT™ Hooded Insulator. On a dry, cold day on the piste, this women's insulated jacket gives you light warmth, and it works as a warm layer on days with changing weather. It stops being the right jacket when snow falls steadily, when you ride deep snow, or when it rains: the shell is water-repellent, not waterproof. The jacket also has no snow skirt, no ski-pass pocket and no RECCO reflector. If you want one jacket that handles all piste and off-piste conditions, choose a waterproof ski jacket instead.

Is the LIFALOFT™ Hooded Insulator good for hiking and winter outings?

Hiking and winter activities are core uses for the Helly Hansen LIFALOFT™ Hooded Insulator. With a listed weight of 305 g and a packable pocket, this insulated jacket is easy to carry in a pack until the temperature drops or you stop for a break. The zipped pocket keeps small items secure, and the internal hanging loop lets you hang the jacket up in a hut or at home. Because Helly Hansen states that LIFALOFT™ insulation stays warm even when wet, it suits days when the weather shifts between dry and damp.

What is the LIFALOFT™ Hooded Insulator made of, and how do you care for it?

The Helly Hansen LIFALOFT™ Hooded Insulator has an outer fabric and lining of 100% polyamide, with insulation of 70% polypropylene and 30% polyester. The ripstop construction of the outer fabric is designed to limit the spread of small tears. To look after this insulated jacket, close all zips before washing and wash dark colours separately. Do not use fabric softener, remove the jacket promptly from the dryer, and do not iron over the printed logos.

Is the Helly Hansen LIFALOFT™ Hooded Insulator made with bluesign® material?

Yes. The main material of the Helly Hansen LIFALOFT™ Hooded Insulator is bluesign®. The bluesign® system is an independent standard for textile production that focuses on responsible use of chemicals and resources, so choosing this women's insulated jacket means choosing a main fabric made under that standard.
