Is your purchase not quite what you expected or is the size incorrect? No problem, you can easily return your order to us. You may try on and view an item as you would in a shop, but there are some rules.

GOOD TO KNOW

  • You have 14 days from receipt of your order to register your return.
  • Are you too late? Then your order will no longer be found in the portal. In that case, always contact us first so we can see what possibilities there are.
  • After registering online, you then have 14 days to hand in your return at the post office. If you hand in the parcel after the 14 days, we will unfortunately no longer be able to process your return. The sooner you register and send in your return, the sooner it will be processed and you will receive your money back.
  • Almost all outerwear and trousers are delivered with a large yellow return label. Do not remove this until you decide to keep the item! Once this vignette has been removed, there is no way we can return the item.
  • Returns are at your own risk and expense.
  • If you return part of your order, we will only refund the amount of the returned items and not other costs such as shipping costs.
  • If you have received an incorrect or damaged item, please always contact us a.s.a.p. and include photos of the product and the labels so we can see which item/defect is concerned.

STEP BY STEP GUIDE:

1. Check your items

√ Has the return period of 14 days after receipt not expired

√ Is the yellow return label (in the case of outerwear and trousers) and all price tags still attached?

√ Is the article unworn and therefore not dirty, damaged or creased?

2. Submit your return online

Enter your own postcode and the full order number (including letters) in the portal to which you can start the return. You can choose to purchase a DPD shipping label via the portal. If you choose this option, print the shipping label. You can download this immediately and it will also be sent to you by e-mail (please check your e-mail address and any spam mail).

You can also choose another carrier outside the portal. We always advise you to send the parcel insured. The DPD label via the portal insures your parcel up to €500.

3. Pack your return

√ Fold the items neatly and close all zips and buttons. Because of the technical materials it is important not to cause serious creases and wrinkles, as these can damage the product.

Then pack the items back in their original packaging and put them in the shipping bag or box. Another bag or box is also fine, as long as it is sturdy so that it arrives undamaged

√ If you have items from several orders that you wish to return, you may simply return them in 1 parcel

√ Put the enclosed packing slip/order confirmation (or a copy) in the parcel

√ Stick the DPD shipping label on the parcel.

If you have chosen to send via another carrier, please write the return address on the parcel:

Skistore Swing

De Opslach 3

4. Shipping

Hand over your return at a DPD parcel point or a carrier of your choice.

Returning (part of) your order is at your own risk. Keep the proof of delivery until we have received and processed your package.

Please note! After registering your return online, you have 14 days to return your parcel to the postal service. If you return the parcel after these 14 days, we will unfortunately no longer be able to process your return.

5. Refund

You will receive confirmation by e-mail when your return has been received and processed.

This is usually within a few days after your order has been delivered to us. The money will then be refunded to the account you paid with within a week after confirmation (usually longer for credit card payments). If you have chosen to pay afterwards, this will be adjusted on your Klarna invoice.

Please note! If you return part of your order, we will only refund the amount of the returned items and not other costs such as shipping costs.

The Helly Hansen Verglas Hooded Down Jacket 2.0 is a men's hooded down jacket that you can wear on its own in chilly conditions or as a midlayer under a shell jacket. It is insulated with hydrophobic duck down (85% down, 15% feather) from Allied Feather & Down®, certified to the Responsible Down Standard, and it packs into its own hand pocket. That makes it a warmth layer you can carry in your pack for ski touring, mountaineering, hiking and camping.

Who is the Verglas Hooded Down Jacket 2.0 for?

The Helly Hansen Verglas Hooded Down Jacket 2.0 suits ski tourers and mountain users who want packable insulation for breaks, summits and descents, and one down jacket for hiking, camping and winter days. It is not meant as your only outer layer in sustained rain, sleet or heavy wet snow, or on freeride days with frequent snow contact. It is not an active layer for hard uphill effort such as skinning. It contains duck down and feather.

How does the Verglas Hooded Down Jacket 2.0 keep you warm and dry?

Warmth comes from 85/15 duck down combined with a 100% polyester insulation. The down is treated to repel water, so it keeps performing better in damp conditions. The 100% polyamide ripstop shell has a Durable Water Repellency (DWR) treatment that makes moisture bead off. Helly Hansen limits the dry-keeping claim to mild wet and snowy conditions, so in real rain or heavy wet snow the jacket belongs under a waterproof shell.

Which size of the Verglas Hooded Down Jacket 2.0 should I choose?

The Helly Hansen Verglas Hooded Down Jacket 2.0 follows Helly Hansen's men's midlayer size chart, shown on this product page. Compare your chest measurement with that chart. If you plan to wear it under a shell, check that your shell has room for an insulated layer underneath.

How is the Helly Hansen Verglas Hooded Down Jacket 2.0 built?

The Helly Hansen Verglas Hooded Down Jacket 2.0 combines three elements. The outer fabric is a 100% polyamide ripstop weave, a construction designed to stop small tears from spreading, finished with a Durable Water Repellency (DWR) treatment. Inside, the insulation is duck down in an 85/15 down-to-feather ratio, sourced from Allied Feather & Down® and treated to be hydrophobic, together with a 100% polyester insulation. The linings are 100% polyamide and 100% polyester. YKK® zippers close the front and the pockets. Protection against moisture comes from the DWR finish and the hydrophobic down rather than from a waterproof membrane.

Is the Verglas Hooded Down Jacket 2.0 suitable for ski touring?

Helly Hansen lists the Verglas Hooded Down Jacket 2.0 for ski touring and backcountry skiing. On a tour, this down jacket works as the warm layer you carry: it compresses into its own hand pocket, so it takes little space in a pack, and you pull it on at transitions, on the summit or for the descent, either on its own in dry cold or under your shell. During long climbs on skins it is too warm to wear as the active layer. For resort days it works as an insulating midlayer under a ski jacket; it has no powder skirt or ski-pass pocket, and the hood is elastic-bound.

Can you wear the Verglas Hooded Down Jacket 2.0 for hiking, camping and everyday winter use?

The Helly Hansen Verglas Hooded Down Jacket 2.0 is also listed for hiking, camping, mountaineering and general winter use. Worn on its own, it covers chilly days around camp or in town. The elastic hood and elastic cuffs close around face and wrists, and the adjustable hem tightens at the waist. Two zippered hand pockets and a zippered inner chest pocket keep small items secure. In persistent rain or wet snow, add a waterproof shell on top.

What is the Verglas Hooded Down Jacket 2.0 made of, and how do you care for it?

The Helly Hansen Verglas Hooded Down Jacket 2.0 has a 100% polyamide shell, linings of 100% polyamide and 100% polyester, and insulation of 85% duck down, 15% duck feather plus 100% polyester. Down needs careful drying to keep its loft: close all zippers before washing, skip fabric softener and do not wring the jacket. Tumble dry it with dryer balls until it is completely dry. Tumble drying also reactivates the DWR treatment on the shell. Wash dark colours separately.

Which certifications does the Verglas Hooded Down Jacket 2.0 carry?

The down in the Helly Hansen Verglas Hooded Down Jacket 2.0 is Responsible Down Standard (RDS) down, certified by IDFL (TE-99972454). The jacket also contains at least 50% Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) certified material.
