Is your purchase not quite what you expected or is the size incorrect? No problem, you can easily return your order to us. You may try on and view an item as you would in a shop, but there are some rules.
GOOD TO KNOW
- You have 14 days from receipt of your order to register your return.
- Are you too late? Then your order will no longer be found in the portal. In that case, always contact us first so we can see what possibilities there are.
- After registering online, you then have 14 days to hand in your return at the post office. If you hand in the parcel after the 14 days, we will unfortunately no longer be able to process your return. The sooner you register and send in your return, the sooner it will be processed and you will receive your money back.
- Almost all outerwear and trousers are delivered with a large yellow return label. Do not remove this until you decide to keep the item! Once this vignette has been removed, there is no way we can return the item.
- Returns are at your own risk and expense.
- If you return part of your order, we will only refund the amount of the returned items and not other costs such as shipping costs.
- If you have received an incorrect or damaged item, please always contact us a.s.a.p. and include photos of the product and the labels so we can see which item/defect is concerned.

STEP BY STEP GUIDE:
1. Check your items
√ Has the return period of 14 days after receipt not expired
√ Is the yellow return label (in the case of outerwear and trousers) and all price tags still attached?
√ Is the article unworn and therefore not dirty, damaged or creased?
2. Submit your return online
Enter your own postcode and the full order number (including letters) in the portal to which you can start the return. You can choose to purchase a DPD shipping label via the portal. If you choose this option, print the shipping label. You can download this immediately and it will also be sent to you by e-mail (please check your e-mail address and any spam mail).
You can also choose another carrier outside the portal. We always advise you to send the parcel insured. The DPD label via the portal insures your parcel up to €500.
3. Pack your return
√ Fold the items neatly and close all zips and buttons. Because of the technical materials it is important not to cause serious creases and wrinkles, as these can damage the product.
Then pack the items back in their original packaging and put them in the shipping bag or box. Another bag or box is also fine, as long as it is sturdy so that it arrives undamaged
√ If you have items from several orders that you wish to return, you may simply return them in 1 parcel
√ Put the enclosed packing slip/order confirmation (or a copy) in the parcel
√ Stick the DPD shipping label on the parcel.
If you have chosen to send via another carrier, please write the return address on the parcel:

4. Shipping
Hand over your return at a DPD parcel point or a carrier of your choice.
Returning (part of) your order is at your own risk. Keep the proof of delivery until we have received and processed your package.
Please note! After registering your return online, you have 14 days to return your parcel to the postal service. If you return the parcel after these 14 days, we will unfortunately no longer be able to process your return.
5. Refund
You will receive confirmation by e-mail when your return has been received and processed.
This is usually within a few days after your order has been delivered to us. The money will then be refunded to the account you paid with within a week after confirmation (usually longer for credit card payments). If you have chosen to pay afterwards, this will be adjusted on your Klarna invoice.
Please note! If you return part of your order, we will only refund the amount of the returned items and not other costs such as shipping costs.

- 3-layer HELLY TECH Professional with welded seams
- D-ring for avalanche beacon plus RECCO reflector
- Back thigh vents and flexible softshell zones
- No insulation: warmth depends on your own layers
- 750 g: heavier than minimalist touring pants
- Bib and suspenders add bulk over waist-only pants
The Helly Hansen Sogn Shell Bib Pants 2.0 are men's hybrid shell ski bib pants for freeride skiing in sidecountry and backcountry terrain. A 3-layer HELLY TECH Professional construction with waterproof welded seams is combined with softshell materials in key areas for added breathability and flexibility. A RECCO reflector, a D-ring for an avalanche beacon and back thigh ventilation zippers make this bib ready for off-piste days.
Who are the Helly Hansen Sogn Shell Bib Pants 2.0 for?
The Helly Hansen Sogn Shell Bib Pants 2.0 suit freeride skiers who head into sidecountry and backcountry terrain, and resort skiers who want a waterproof shell for wet or windy days. Helly Hansen developed these ski bib pants with feedback from professional freeskiers. They are not the right choice if you want insulated pants to wear over a thin base layer on cold resort days, if you prefer a waist-only ski pant without suspenders, or if low weight on long ski-touring ascents is your priority.
How waterproof and breathable are the Sogn Shell Bib Pants 2.0?
The Helly Hansen Sogn Shell Bib Pants 2.0 use a 3-layer HELLY TECH Professional waterproof/breathable membrane, and every seam is welded to keep snow and rain out. Softshell zones in key areas and two back thigh ventilation zippers let heat escape when you work hard on a descent or a short climb. A water repellent treatment helps water run off the outer fabric. The bib weighs 750 g, which places it among full-featured freeride pants rather than minimalist touring models.
Which size should I choose in the Sogn Shell Bib Pants 2.0?
The Helly Hansen Sogn Shell Bib Pants 2.0 have adjustable suspenders and an adjustable waist, so you can fine-tune the fit around your torso and hips. Articulated knees and a crotch gusset give freedom of movement in deep snow. These ski bib pants have no insulation, so warmth comes from the layers you wear underneath. Keep those layers in mind and compare your body measurements with the size chart on this product page.
How are the Helly Hansen Sogn Shell Bib Pants 2.0 constructed?
The Helly Hansen Sogn Shell Bib Pants 2.0 are built as a hybrid shell. The core is a 3-layer HELLY TECH Professional laminate: the outer fabric, the waterproof/breathable membrane and an inner layer are bonded into one material, with waterproof welded seams instead of stitched ones. In key areas, Helly Hansen replaces the hardshell with softshell materials to add breathability and flexibility without giving up protection. Two ventilation zippers at the back of the thighs open to release heat quickly. There is no insulation layer, which keeps the bib versatile: you control warmth with your own base and mid layers.
Are the Sogn Shell Bib Pants 2.0 suitable for freeride and ski touring?
Freeride is the core purpose of the Helly Hansen Sogn Shell Bib Pants 2.0. The bib cut covers more of the torso than waist-only pants, and snow gaiters at the bottom of each leg keep snow out at the boot. Reinforcement on the lower legs protects the fabric from ski edges and crampon-free scrapes against the snow. For off-piste safety, a RECCO reflector makes you locatable by rescue teams with RECCO detectors, and a D-ring gives you a fixed point to attach your avalanche beacon. The LIFE POCKET is designed to preserve phone battery life in cold conditions. On resort days in wet or windy weather, these ski bib pants work as a protective shell over your own layers.
The Helly Hansen Sogn Shell Bib Pants 2.0 do have limits. At 750 g they are heavier than minimalist touring pants, so long uphill days are not their strength; skiers who mainly tour will feel the extra weight. Without insulation, they will feel cold over a thin base layer during long lift rides in freezing weather. The suspenders and bib section also add bulk compared with a standard waist-only ski pant.
Which materials are used in the Sogn Shell Bib Pants 2.0, and how do you care for them?
The main shell of the Helly Hansen Sogn Shell Bib Pants 2.0 is 100% polyamide. A second shell fabric of 89% polyester and 11% elastane is part of the hybrid construction. To keep the membrane and water repellent treatment working, close all zippers and hook-and-loop fastenings before washing, use a washing agent for technical garments, and do not soak the bib. Wash dark colours separately. Tumble drying reactivates the water repellent treatment, so dry the bib in the dryer and remove it promptly afterwards. Do not iron on the print.
What makes the Sogn Shell Bib Pants 2.0 a more responsible choice?
The main material of the Helly Hansen Sogn Shell Bib Pants 2.0 is bluesign® approved.
