Is your purchase not quite what you expected or is the size incorrect? No problem, you can easily return your order to us. You may try on and view an item as you would in a shop, but there are some rules.
GOOD TO KNOW
- You have 14 days from receipt of your order to register your return.
- Are you too late? Then your order will no longer be found in the portal. In that case, always contact us first so we can see what possibilities there are.
- After registering online, you then have 14 days to hand in your return at the post office. If you hand in the parcel after the 14 days, we will unfortunately no longer be able to process your return. The sooner you register and send in your return, the sooner it will be processed and you will receive your money back.
- Almost all outerwear and trousers are delivered with a large yellow return label. Do not remove this until you decide to keep the item! Once this vignette has been removed, there is no way we can return the item.
- Returns are at your own risk and expense.
- If you return part of your order, we will only refund the amount of the returned items and not other costs such as shipping costs.
- If you have received an incorrect or damaged item, please always contact us a.s.a.p. and include photos of the product and the labels so we can see which item/defect is concerned.

STEP BY STEP GUIDE:
1. Check your items
√ Has the return period of 14 days after receipt not expired
√ Is the yellow return label (in the case of outerwear and trousers) and all price tags still attached?
√ Is the article unworn and therefore not dirty, damaged or creased?
2. Submit your return online
Enter your own postcode and the full order number (including letters) in the portal to which you can start the return. You can choose to purchase a DPD shipping label via the portal. If you choose this option, print the shipping label. You can download this immediately and it will also be sent to you by e-mail (please check your e-mail address and any spam mail).
You can also choose another carrier outside the portal. We always advise you to send the parcel insured. The DPD label via the portal insures your parcel up to €500.
3. Pack your return
√ Fold the items neatly and close all zips and buttons. Because of the technical materials it is important not to cause serious creases and wrinkles, as these can damage the product.
Then pack the items back in their original packaging and put them in the shipping bag or box. Another bag or box is also fine, as long as it is sturdy so that it arrives undamaged
√ If you have items from several orders that you wish to return, you may simply return them in 1 parcel
√ Put the enclosed packing slip/order confirmation (or a copy) in the parcel
√ Stick the DPD shipping label on the parcel.
If you have chosen to send via another carrier, please write the return address on the parcel:

4. Shipping
Hand over your return at a DPD parcel point or a carrier of your choice.
Returning (part of) your order is at your own risk. Keep the proof of delivery until we have received and processed your package.
Please note! After registering your return online, you have 14 days to return your parcel to the postal service. If you return the parcel after these 14 days, we will unfortunately no longer be able to process your return.
5. Refund
You will receive confirmation by e-mail when your return has been received and processed.
This is usually within a few days after your order has been delivered to us. The money will then be refunded to the account you paid with within a week after confirmation (usually longer for credit card payments). If you have chosen to pay afterwards, this will be adjusted on your Klarna invoice.
Please note! If you return part of your order, we will only refund the amount of the returned items and not other costs such as shipping costs.

- HELLY TECH Professional membrane, fully sealed seams
- Zippered thigh vents to release heat on the move
- Snow gaiters with silicone grips and zip leg openings
- Fixed insulation: runs warm on ski-touring ascents
- 835 g: heavier to pack than an uninsulated shell pant
- Waist-height cut with belt loops, no bib or braces
The Helly Hansen Alpha LIFALOFT Ski Pants are men's insulated ski pants for piste and resort skiing, built for long days on the slopes. They combine a 4-way stretch shell, a HELLY TECH Professional waterproof/breathable membrane, fully sealed seams and LIFALOFT synthetic insulation, with zippered thigh vents to release excess heat.
Who are the Helly Hansen Alpha LIFALOFT Ski Pants for?
The Helly Hansen Alpha LIFALOFT Ski Pants suit resort skiers who spend full days on the piste and want warmth built into their ski pants, plus the freedom of movement that stretch fabric and articulated knees give. They are not the right choice for ski touring with long skinning ascents. With a listed weight of 835 g and fixed insulation, they run hot on the way up, and an uninsulated shell pant works better there. The same applies to mild spring days. These pants also have no harness or crampon-specific features for technical climbing or high-alpine mountaineering.
How waterproof and warm are the Alpha LIFALOFT Ski Pants?
In the Helly Hansen Alpha LIFALOFT Ski Pants, the HELLY TECH Professional membrane and fully sealed seams keep snow and moisture out, while the membrane lets water vapour from your body escape. A water-repellent treatment, which you reactivate by tumble drying, helps the outer fabric shed snow. LIFALOFT synthetic insulation adds warmth for cold lift rides. The insulation cannot be removed, so the zippered thigh vents are your way to release heat during hard runs.
Which size of the Alpha LIFALOFT Ski Pants should I choose?
The Helly Hansen Alpha LIFALOFT Ski Pants have an adjustable waist and belt loops for fine-tuning the fit at the waist. Articulated knees and 4-way stretch fabric follow your movement. Zippered expandable leg openings and snow gaiters with silicone grips are designed to go over ski boots. Compare your own measurements with the men's size chart on this product page before you order. These are waist-height pants, not a bib.
How are the Helly Hansen Alpha LIFALOFT Ski Pants constructed?
The Helly Hansen Alpha LIFALOFT Ski Pants are built around a 4-way stretch main shell of 85% polyamide and 15% elastane, with a secondary shell of 100% polyamide. Behind the outer fabric sits a HELLY TECH Professional waterproof/breathable membrane, and every seam is sealed so water cannot work its way through the stitching. The warmth comes from LIFALOFT synthetic insulation made of 70% polypropylene and 30% polyester. Inside, the ski pants combine three linings: 100% polyester, a stretch lining of 86% polyester and 14% elastane, and 100% polyamide, together with a 3D mesh fabric construction. At the bottom hem, a Bemis reinforcement protects the fabric where ski edges and boot buckles cause the most wear.
How do the Alpha LIFALOFT Ski Pants perform on the piste?
On the piste, the Helly Hansen Alpha LIFALOFT Ski Pants are designed for long days on the slopes, from the first chairlift to the last run. The stretch shell and articulated knees let you flex and drive through turns without the fabric pulling at the knees. When you warm up on a fast run, the zippered thigh vents let heat out without taking the ski pants off. The snow gaiters with silicone grips close around your ski boots to keep snow out after a fall or in deep snow at the side of the piste. Zippered hand pockets and a zippered back pocket keep a lift pass, phone or keys secure. A RECCO transponder is built in, so rescue teams using RECCO detectors can locate you.
Can you use the Alpha LIFALOFT Ski Pants off-piste or for ski touring?
The Helly Hansen Alpha LIFALOFT Ski Pants handle short trips off the groomed runs well, thanks to the waterproof shell, the snow gaiters and the reinforced hem. They remain piste ski pants at heart, though. They have a waist-height cut with belt loops and no bib or braces, so skiers who regularly ride deep powder and want extra protection at the waist are better served by a bib. For ski touring, the fixed LIFALOFT insulation and the 835 g listed weight make these pants too warm on long ascents, even with the thigh vents open. They are also heavier and bulkier to pack than an uninsulated shell pant.
How do you wash and care for the Alpha LIFALOFT Ski Pants?
To keep the Helly Hansen Alpha LIFALOFT Ski Pants performing, close all zippers and hook-and-loop fasteners before washing, and wash them with similar colours using a detergent made for technical garments. Do not soak the ski pants and do not use fabric softener, as both affect the performance of technical fabrics. After washing, tumble dry the pants to reactivate the water-repellent treatment on the outer fabric. Do not iron over the printed HH logo.
