- After registering online, you then have 14 days to hand in your return at the post office. If you hand in the parcel after the 14 days, we will unfortunately no longer be able to process your return. The sooner you register and send in your return, the sooner it will be processed and you will receive your money back.
- Almost all outerwear and trousers are delivered with a large yellow return label. Do not remove this until you decide to keep the item! Once this vignette has been removed, there is no way we can return the item.
- Returns are at your own risk and expense.
- If you return part of your order, we will only refund the amount of the returned items and not other costs such as shipping costs.
- If you have received an incorrect or damaged item, please always contact us a.s.a.p. and include photos of the product and the labels so we can see which item/defect is concerned.
STEP BY STEP GUIDE:
1. Check your items
√ Has the return period of 14 days after receipt not expired
√ Is the yellow return label (in the case of outerwear and trousers) and all price tags still attached?
√ Is the article unworn and therefore not dirty, damaged or creased?
2. Submit your return online
Enter your own postcode and the full order number (including letters) in the portal to which you can start the return. You can choose to purchase a DPD shipping label via the portal. If you choose this option, print the shipping label. You can download this immediately and it will also be sent to you by e-mail (please check your e-mail address and any spam mail).
You can also choose another carrier outside the portal. We always advise you to send the parcel insured. The DPD label via the portal insures your parcel up to €500.
3. Pack your return
√ Fold the items neatly and close all zips and buttons. Because of the technical materials it is important not to cause serious creases and wrinkles, as these can damage the product.
Then pack the items back in their original packaging and put them in the shipping bag or box. Another bag or box is also fine, as long as it is sturdy so that it arrives undamaged
√ If you have items from several orders that you wish to return, you may simply return them in 1 parcel
√ Put the enclosed packing slip/order confirmation (or a copy) in the parcel
√ Stick the DPD shipping label on the parcel.

4. Shipping

The Arc'teryx Emblem Fleece Hoody is a women's pullover fleece mid layer with a brushed interior and an oversized cut with dropped shoulders. It is built for warming up, cooling down and wearing around town, not for weather protection: there is no membrane, no water-repellent finish and no windproof construction. What sets it apart is the deliberately roomy silhouette combined with a soft brushed face against the skin.
Who is the Emblem Fleece Hoody for?
This one suits you if you want a soft, loose fleece hoody for pre-climb warm-ups, post-activity recovery, cool and dry hikes, travel and everyday wear, and you already own a shell for wind and rain. It is not the right choice as a close-fitting technical mid layer under a slim hardshell, and it carries none of the snowsport details some skiers look for, so there is no powder skirt, pass pocket or RECCO reflector.
How warm and how protective is the Emblem Fleece Hoody?
Warmth comes from the brushed knit fleece alone, with the hood and the ribbed cuffs and hem closing off the openings where cool air gets in. There is no insulation fill and no laminate, so in wet or snowy weather the Arc'teryx Emblem Fleece Hoody needs a waterproof shell over the top, and in wind it works better underneath an outer layer than on its own. For high-output aerobic efforts where fast moisture transport matters most, a dedicated active layer is the better tool.

The Arc'teryx Emblem Fleece Hoody is a pullover, so there is no front zip to break up the fabric or to press against a harness or a pack strap. The interior of the knit fleece is brushed, which is what gives it the soft, next-to-skin hand. A kangaroo pocket sits at the front for hands, a phone or a pair of gloves. The hood is adjusted with bungee cordlocks, and ribbed cuffs and a ribbed hem finish the sleeves and the waist so the hoody stays put rather than riding up when you reach overhead. The cut is oversized, with dropped shoulders and wide sleeves that keep the arms free.
Is the Emblem Fleece Hoody suitable for bouldering, hiking or skiing?
Arc'teryx builds this fleece hoody for bouldering warm-ups and the warmth you want between burns, for hiking in cool and dry conditions, and for travel and everyday use. That is where it is strongest: pull it on when you stop moving, take it off when you start again. It is not presented as a ski or alpine layer. On a cold, windy or snowy mountain day it only works as part of a system, underneath a protective shell, and its volume means it layers loosely rather than efficiently under close-fitting outerwear. For high-intensity uphill work, choose something slimmer and faster-wicking.
How does the Emblem Fleece Hoody layer?
Worn over a t-shirt or a base layer, the Arc'teryx Emblem Fleece Hoody gives you a single soft layer with a hood you can cinch down. It also works as an extra layer under an outer shell, provided that shell has room: the oversized cut adds bulk through the chest, shoulders and sleeves, so a trim hardshell in your usual size will feel tight over it. If you plan to use it mainly under a jacket, think about which of S, M or L leaves you the least excess fabric.
How do you wash and care for the Emblem Fleece Hoody?
Care is straightforward and keeps the brushed surface and the ribbed knit in shape. Machine wash the Arc'teryx Emblem Fleece Hoody on a low temperature and tumble dry on low using a normal cycle. Skip bleach, fabric softener, the iron and dry cleaning, as softener in particular coats fleece fibres and dulls the brushed hand. Wash dark colourways separately, especially the first few times, so dye does not transfer to lighter garments in the same load.
