What is PrimaLoft and how does it work?
Primaloft is an advanced synthetic insulation material designed to retain heat even in humid conditions. The material consists of a combination of microfibres. These microfibres are designed to create small air pockets that act as an insulating layer around the body. When the material is compressed, these air pockets retain heat. This process ensures effective insulation even in the coldest and most extreme weather conditions.
Even when these microfibres get wet, the material remains insulating and water-repellent. This is because PrimaLoft's synthetic materials are hydrophobic and therefore do not absorb water. Also, these fibres are thinner than a human hair, which prevents water molecules from penetrating between the fibres. This keeps you and your jacket completely dry!

Down or PrimaLoft
The technology for both Down and Synthetic fabrics has improved greatly in recent years. Both technologies are very warm, breathable and of very good quality, however, the biggest difference is the relationship with humid weather conditions. Down material is very warm because its microfibres absorb body heat, keeping it warm. PrimaLoft is designed to prevent water retention and therefore ensures you stay dry in any humid situation. This is a crucial advantage over down, which loses its insulation when wet and takes a long time to dry.

PrimaLoft Gold
PrimaLoft Gold is the best choice for adventurers who want to provide themselves with high-quality insulation and warmth in extreme weather conditions. It is completely waterproof and in very humid situations, the material insulates perfectly and retains 98% of heat. In addition, it is lightweight fast-drying.

PrimaLoft Silver
Primaloft Silver has very effective and powerful insulation. It is suitable for warmer climates or multi-day physical activities. In addition, it is easily foldable, super comfortable and manages to reduce sweat due to its breathable function.

Helly Hansen Lifaloft
In an exclusive collaboration with PrimaLoft, Helly Hansen has released a new line with an even lighter version of PrimaLoft technology. With 20% less weight, the new LifaLoft technology retains even more warmth than the standard PrimaLoft versions. This is due to a different fibre structure with even more air pockets. Effectiveness and weight
PrimaLoft is not only an effective insulation material, but also very practical to use. Because the microfibres contain insulating layers of material, it is lightweight and can be easily folded into a small volume.
