What is breathability?
Before we explain how H2Flow works, it is important to understand what breathability is. Breathability allows moisture from the body, such as sweat, to be wicked out through the fabric and prevents condensation from forming on the inside of your clothing keeping you dry and comfortable during your efforts. This is very important because if condensation forms then it can lead to a clammy and wet feeling, making you very cold during cold weather.
In addition to using technical fabrics that wick away moisture, H2Flow™ provides additional ventilation options through strategically placed zippers. When a skier starts to get hot, these zippers can be easily opened to increase airflow and remove excess heat.

How does H2Flow work?

Maintaining H2Flow
Maintaining your H2Flow jacket from Helly Hansen is essential to ensure the longevity and performance of your favorite outdoor garment. Wash your jacket in lukewarm water on a delicate wash cycle and set the washing machine on an extra rinse cycle to remove all detergent residue. Handle the wet jacket with care: scoop it out of the washer instead of pulling it and avoid shaking or wringing it. Lay the coat flat and gently press out excess water. Dry the coat separately from other garments to avoid unnecessary friction. Use a long program at medium-high temperature in the dryer. Avoid ironing as this may damage the fabric. Helly Hansen does not recommend hand washing jackets because of the difficulty in rinsing out the detergent properly and the possibility of excessive mechanical stress on the fabric and seams. Following these steps will keep your H2Flow jacket in top condition, keeping you warm and comfortable during all your outdoor adventures!
